I grew up watching my mom apply her makeup and she swore by Merle Norman – I thought my mom was the most beautiful woman and I loved how she enjoyed the magic of makeup and how it made her look and feel.
As a teenager and young adult I would never leave the house without makeup but as I have matured into my 40’s I have embraced a more natural beachy feel and look and l and am not as self conscious leaving the house without a full face on but always remember to have a lip gloss or mascara handy!
Embracing a no makeup look is definitely a challenge and learning to love our no makeup selves is a work in progress :)
