GirlMagicMeets & No Makeup Series Collaboration

girlmagicmeets-nomakeupseries

Had the opportunity to collaborate with the founders of @GirlMagicMeets and I can tell you first hand that it was amazing. The event was focused on my no makeup series for the first few hours and then the ladies put on makeup after that. The event was held at Factory Boston (@FactoryBoston) and over 40+ people attended and got their photos taken.

I haven't had the opportunity to edit any photos as of yet as I have been working my nine to five and also editing my no makeup series panel.

Look for an update soon but in the meantime follow these accounts on Instagram:

Recently held another session for my #nomakeup series at the YWCA in Cambridge in collaboration with  Respect Her Hustle, Women in Film, Wonder Women of Boston and Rumba y timbal. We had an amazing number of women come out to be photographed and filmed on their thoughts on makeup and what it means to them.

Curry College

IMG_1328.JPG

Getting to speak about my workaa in front of an audience is something I am not used to. Since I was young I was always shy but as I grew older, with the help of mentors and amazing friends, I have been able to come out of my shy nature and be comfortable in my own skin. However, public speaking is something I still have yet to master.

I was asked by my mentor Monique Austin, who works at Curry College, to speak on my #nomakeup series to her students as well as other students that may be interested. My nerves were worked up but it felt great to share my story on how it started and where I intend to take it. My friend, whom I consider a sister, Nataly Bedoya was their as well to share her thoughts on makeup  and the overall process on being involved.

Hopefully I can do this more often at either different speaker series's or colleges.  What a journey this has been thus far with this series.
